Community Connections - Building Stronger Neighborhoods

This workshop will explore what neighborhood organizations are doing when 'building community' and its impact on the neighborhood. When building community, you are increasing the visibility and influence of your organization. A wide variety of practices can be used for community building, ranging from simple activities and events like Neighborhood Watch, potlucks and small book clubs, to larger scale efforts such as neighborhood picnics, National Night Out events, home and garden tours and garage/yard sales.       FAQs: Where can I contact the organizer with any questions? You can reach Marthaly Irizarry at 407-836-2934 or email: marthaly.irizarry@ocfl.com   Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?ID's are not required, but please do not bring small children to this training class.   What are my parking options at the event? An abundance of parking is available on site.   Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? It is helpful, but not required.   Is my registration/ticket transferrable?Yes.   The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay? This is not a problem, you will simply need to provide your name & address on the sign-in sheet upon your arrival.   In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), if any person with a disability as defined by the ADA needs special accommodation to participate in this proceeding, then not later than two business days prior to the proceeding, he or she should contact our office at (407) 836-2934.     Note: Classroom tends to get a little cold; we recommend bringing a sweater.
